FOUNDERS
Steve Parsons
Mr Parsons has over 20 years’ experience in the mining industry with a proven track record of mineral discoveries, company growth, international investor relations and creating shareholder wealth.
Mr Parsons is the founding Managing Director of FireFly Metals (ASX: FFM), where he continues to drive the Company's growth and oversee the strategic development of the large-scale Green Bay Copper–Gold Project in Newfoundland, Canada. FireFly Metals is an ASX 200 company and is also listed on the TSX.
Previously, Mr Parsons served as founding Managing Director of ASX 200 Bellevue Gold Limited (ASX: BGL) leading the business through discovery, funding, development and construction of the 3 million oz Bellevue gold mine in Western Australia. Prior to that Mr Parsons was the founding Managing Director of Gryphon Minerals Ltd, which discovered a large multi-million ounce gold project in Burkina Faso, West Africa and grew to be an ASX200 company prior to its takeover by a significant North American gold company.
Mr Parsons has an honours degree in Geology and is a member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.
Michael Naylor
Mr Naylor has over 25 years’ experience in corporate advisory and public company management since commencing his career and qualifying as a chartered accountant with Ernst & Young. Michael has been involved in the financial management of mineral and resources focused public companies, serving on the board and on the executive management team, focusing on advancing and developing mineral resource assets and business development.
Mr Naylor has worked in Australia and Canada and has extensive experience in financial reporting, capital raisings, debt financings and treasury management of resource companies.
Mr Naylor is the founding Executive Director of FireFly Metals and was instrumental in the successful acquisition and continued development of the Green Bay Copper-Gold Project in Newfoundland and Labrador. FireFly Metals is an ASX 200 company and is also listed on the TSX.
Previously, Mr Naylor served as founding Executive Director of ASX200 Bellevue Gold Limited (ASX: BGL) leading the business through discovery, funding, development and construction of the 3 million oz Bellevue Gold Mine in Western Australia.
Mr Naylor was Non-Executive Director of Bellevue Gold Limited between March 2022 and January 2026.
Sam Brooks
Mr Brooks is a mining executive and geologist with extensive experience across exploration, project generation, resource development and capital markets within the global resources sector. He has worked across a range of jurisdictions and commodities, with a strong focus on identifying and advancing high-quality mineral opportunities from early-stage exploration through to development and corporate growth.
Mr Brooks has been involved in the technical and strategic advancement of several successful mining and exploration companies, contributing across geological targeting, project evaluation, business development and corporate transactions. His experience spans greenfields discovery, resource growth, asset acquisition and public market strategy.
Mr Brooks has played key roles in the identification and advancement of a number of significant mineral projects, including involvement in the early stages of the Bellevue Gold discovery the Green Bay Copper-Gold Project. He has a strong track record of combining technical expertise with commercial execution to unlock value within mineral assets.
